Story aside I was watching to see how much Batman animation improved. I've grown up watching Batman when I was a child. I've only really liked the original animated series. They went into this sharp simplified shape that was a really turn off for me later on. Anyways since this is a new movie had to check it out after seeing an AMV that perked my interest after seeing so much Robin haha.
A lot of the animation is outsourced to Japan and Korea by looking at the credit. Answer Studio was involved in the animation production.

Interesting article on how Hiroshi came to study acting in U.S. It kinda sucks how limiting roles Asian actors have....and when there's a role fit for asian, they go casting white people *coughfreakinavatarcough*

I don't really get why the critic ratings are low...
I liked watching it! It was not as bad as expected. I'm only loosely familiar with the X-men mythos. I don't read the comics. I watch some of the cartoons growing up. Collected X-men cards with my cousin. And I wasn't quite aware of the X-team majig. So I'm pretty unbiased.

This is a pretty good documentary on Asian American Male Actors in Hollywood. Must see! (there's another asian american docu that includes female actors by TCM, but I don't know where to watch it)
With stuff like the Airbender movie going to shit...its such depressing to know things still hasn't changed ): Not enough Asian American role...? Airbender opens that opportunity but the shithead at the productions/casting decision just don't allow it.

I just got my "The Art of Bolt" book... its pretty thick with 160 pages. Never watched the movie yet haha...
But now I feel sad that the "The Art of Meet the Robinsons", is ridiculously thin T_T;; 62 pages. WRY!!!!!!!!
Bawww....I wish they can republish MTR...its my favorite movie. I would love to see more character concepts design T_T Its been unappreciated with the lack of special features and products toward it. I don't really remember it being marketed very well. I'm also in search for a nice Wilbur pvc(someone in japan should make one!!) and MTR poster...
Other stuff I got is the Walt Stanchfield: Drawn to Life books. We had to read it in Art 28 and 114 through PDF. But now they finally made a book. Its actually a really good book about drawing. Making your drawing communicate well with gestures and simple composition etc. Worth the read! Now I can sit in my bed and read :3
And b/c of the Amazon's sci-fi sale, I bought Firefly and Serenity DVD. I've been hearing a lot of about this in the last few months. So I'm going to try watching it! I've been really into buying DVDs lately. Even tho I don't have a tv/dvd player in my room!!! (sister took it to her room). My co-workers were recommending Battle Starship Galactica (?). Might have to try that out as well...all these sci stuff!! hahaa.. I'm usually not into it, but after Star Wars and mech anime, I'm opening up.

-Watch Tropic Thunder with Teresa. I'm still a bit surprised by one of the cast member...I so didn't recognize him throughout the movie!! I couldn't understand much of what Downey Jr said...but the use of Chinese medicine to blacken himself was funny XD
-Walked around Eastridge and met up with Melinda and Farah. I bought two camis!
-Bought lock at Office Depot
-Watched Code Geass 21: All I can say is WTF. I miss my Rolo ;o;
-Went to my cousin Christine's wedding at those Chinese restaurant. A lot of my cousins were there. My nieces and nephews are so cuute!!! The two siblings, Jonathan (age 6) and Abby (5) are so going to be photographers XD They were taking pictures the whole day with Lily's camera. They even know to turn the camera portrait style to get a better composition! I love my nieces and nephews~~ I need to have more influence on them while they are young 8D Cousin Mimi is pregnant 6 months. The first nephew/niece that will come from the cousins on my mom side. Funny to see her so hungry for food XD

-But, I got to watch Spanglish with my sister at home. I laughed so many times XD;; Good movie. Deb was hilarious.

I loved the first movie, so just seeing the Pevensie siblings grow up was a major plus. I knew William Moseley (Peter) would look good when he starts loosing that child chin in the first movie...but damn he loooks like a model in movie 2. It's his eyes!!! Too bad he won't be in the next movie... And Edmund's actor face became so skinny!! He doesn't look at all annoying than he did before. Kids borderlining adulthood always look better than before and after that age imo. The prince Caspian also looks so pretty.... If it's not the storyline, its the pretty boys that is nice to just watch haha..... But I enjoyed the story. Pretty intense!! Somehow I wondered why it's still rated PG. There were lots of killing and really sad points.
I'm not sure what other people think of the movie, but I like it :D Now I have to wait to buy the DVD.

College Blah + Meet the Robinsons

Must study on Monday for Written test on Tuesday XD;; Also October is already approaching! Whoo! Time is going by fast XD

I never heard of it before until my coworker mentioned it from the newspaper image I was referencing (http://gem2niki.blogspot.com/). It was surprisingly good and funny. A fantastical and modern humor to it X3 The landscape shots were pretty~~ The ghostly brothers were my favorite part of the film. At the end, I felt particular good after watching it :D
