So I received this on 7/21/2015. I thought that if I had a cintiq, I could draw faster, like drawing on paper~!

Silly me, its nothing like that!!! Its a whole new way of drawing...for better or for worse. I think it requires more getting used to. I've used it for a like 2-3 days but not as motivated to use it as often now. I've used the 22inch from work over the weekend a couple of months ago and it caused my shoulder to get worst than it already is because of my desk being too high and having to elevate my shoulder than when I should have kept it down. The cintiq 13 on the other hand, is too low. I didn't initially do this until maiki mentioned it to me, but I had to elevate the height with a box of paper. So before I was staring down at it and caused my neck to get really sore. Another injury I don't need to worsen again. Using the cintiq is going against everything I learned in Physical Therapy on sitting/computer posture T_T;;

Another negative: Windows 8.1!!!! What the shit is that?! I use Windows 7 and 8.1 just sucks! Where's the start menu? Why are they making things harder to find? I like my classic Windows. Give it back! I tried adjusting everything so it feels like 7 huhu...Took a while for me to install photoshop and paint sai because of the touch hand gesture issues I was getting and screen resolution being too small for the UI. Pinching and zooming didn't work for some reason so I had to make different work around with the function menu. I don't like using computer mode because of Windows 8, lack of keyboard and mouse (I even had to pull out another mouse to use on it). The display mode isn't too bad, but my computer, I found out, could only display 2 at the same time and not 3 T_T;;

13 screen is quite small. But 22 is too big for me. I hope they make something in between. A 17? Its weird drawing details zoomed in and not being able to see the image overall. I have a large monitor for my desktop...so I am used to seeing my drawing larger than my puny cintiq.

I'm not exactly happy with my new expensive machine, but I'll need to really get used to it. 1700 bucks!!! *sinks into empty wallet*

I think my spending habit got worst this year...already past half the year and I have not stopped buying stuff orz;; I also notice I was getting stuff every week!! Even days next to each other. I also been going to Kinokuniya about every week last month!! Like what the heck is going on yo. Splitting into two post, since there were ton of shit I bought. I need help...

Fall is mostly manga from rightstuf and kinokuniya. But also went back to shopping at Amazon!Japan and trying out CDJapan. My dad went to Australia and brought back a bunch of snacks and souvenirs as well.


Didn't buy too much at APE...getting over the indy western artist phase since graduating...

Gahh i want a new computer!! My computer has been super slow lately. Maybe I should blame myself for watching netflix online while using photoshop...but i've done that before!!! Hoping I can transfer them over to the new one and then reformat it. I don't have the OS software so I can't do anything about it now....

My sis is also planning on building her computer. I think my cousin offered to help build it, so I'm hoping I can ask him to help me too XD;; But I haven't talked to him in so long! Damn you facebook! (don't have...)

Plus I'm taking 3d modeling next semester, so I need one that can run 2010...my current computer (built since 2007) could run maya 8 at okay performance (tho it kept crashing on me...)

I think that will be my last major spending of the year, as the rest will be toward paying family stuff.

A few days ago I spent over $200 on mangas at Barnes and Nobles ;o;

Today, my lil sister bought A LOT of moleskins sketchbook/journal. And I bought some artbooks hopefully to get some inspiration from different styles: J.W. Waterhouse, Edward Gorey, and Gustave Dore. Hopefully I can produce some interesting artwork influenced from them...

Once I get back, I'll buy a new tablet! >:O!!! Intuos3 4x6 perhaps since I like smaller tablet. The nib for my old tablet has been constantly scratching the tablet sheet @A@;; The one we have at work doesn't scratch that badly.

I hope I make enough money after AX ahaha.... I'm broke @A@;;; (okay not seriously to poorness, but to what I had before japan trip...I am.)

AX!! So soon @A@;;; I have to finish next stage for evolving item tonight!!! *working at home*

EDIT: Also, how can a doujin artist produce so many doujins in a year @A@?!!! Insane...
