Gahh i want a new computer!! My computer has been super slow lately. Maybe I should blame myself for watching netflix online while using photoshop...but i've done that before!!! Hoping I can transfer them over to the new one and then reformat it. I don't have the OS software so I can't do anything about it now....

My sis is also planning on building her computer. I think my cousin offered to help build it, so I'm hoping I can ask him to help me too XD;; But I haven't talked to him in so long! Damn you facebook! (don't have...)

Plus I'm taking 3d modeling next semester, so I need one that can run 2010...my current computer (built since 2007) could run maya 8 at okay performance (tho it kept crashing on me...)

I think that will be my last major spending of the year, as the rest will be toward paying family stuff.

The assignment was that we each created our own story and then had our story switched with other classmate randomly. So we became director of our film and animatior to another classmates' film. This story was a collab between me and the director since his story didn't get the instructors approval.

It was actually fun animating a creature and playing with the overlap of the ears :)

After hearing Miyazaki's answers...I really don't want to turn CG haha XD I don't forsee myself being a 3D artist, nor well I want to use it.

Its so much simpler to get things down on paper than meddle with rigs and vertices etc. They drive me crazy.

Right now I'm restudying Kiowa's character design. I haven't drawn him properly in so long. I wonder if I'll be able to update at least a couple of pages before summer ends.

So far I have 3 "B's" since Fall 2006. Those filler classes are always low hahaa.. not the ones required for my major ORZ;; I'm surprised I got an A- on Animation because I didn't think I do well. But yay, straight A's for all my art classes!!

Now its final weeeks coming up! I have two GE finals (Human Sexuality and Japanese) on the same day, right after the next T__T;; I wonder if I'll do okay....I've been slacking on my reading for Human Sexuality. Catching up will be intense!!

Also need to finish my Animation finals and portfolio -_-;; Lots of fine tuning on my sack pantomime. And I redid my walk...but need to inbetween it more.

At the same time, I'm going to attempt finishing two prints, Skip Beat and Natsume by Fanime. I'm going to play up with more bg and design elements XD;;; I'll work on more for AX and maybe get that one doujin completed.....

I'm kinda excited for Fanime!! Meeting people again will be fun! I just need to get out of the table more and hang out with them afterward. Dinner or something? :D

AX notified they received all my info stuff! So I'm going!! Not that excited haha... but we'll be hoteling at least and maybe go around Downtown LA more...

Did anyone ever had a superstition that you didn't really believe actually come true?

I have to write one in japanese...but nothing comes to mind...

I changed the music from what I originally had which was also shown in the animation screening at the end of the semester along with other student's animation.

If you absolutely can't draw, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drabbles or icons or something instead.

Note to self: Finish portfolio tonight. Work on completing animation tomorrow night!! Pencil test on Tuesday. Edit at home and upload by Wednesday. (Also study Japanese midterm on Tuesday...)

I haven't put it in animatic format until I can nail down the
story....below are the links.

The beginning is similar to my previous version
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STzWqUjEfAg) except, I changed the
setting to a coffee shop and male character is reading a book on
"Guide to Confidence" or something like that. And the second half of
the scene is extended differently...

When the female character is stopped from leaving, the guy becomes too
nervous and speechless to talk to the girl. He frantically turns
around to review the book he was reading earlier. The girl notices
this, taps his shoulder, and reveals she was also reading the same
book. The guy smiles in relief. In the end, they are sitting at the
coffee table chattering away... Then a end cut to the two copies of
the book with title of the film perhaps...

Not sure if that's okay or what I should cut etc. I'm fixed on keeping
the beginning half of the scene. Hopefully it's under 30 sec...

I'm getting a headache thinking how long it will take to finish this....
