Qiu Qijing
Jan. 28th, 2009 11:04 pmI just saw this feature on CCTV of this Chinese sculptor Qiu Qijing.
His sculptures are amazing in today's Chinese art *A* Very provoking. I could feel the pain from just looking at slits on cold stone rocks. His usage of stones to portray country side farmers migrating were impressive *A* I wish there were more photos of his work somewhere. There was one particular sculpture I liked in the beginning of the feature.
Feature on CCTV - not sure if video works...i have trouble connecting
Some of his work

I've never really looked into more contemporary Chinese art. I should tho.
