I can't name other movie on the top of my head right now but I think there is a pattern out there for some movies....but I really hate it when the goal of the film was to rescue someone but in the end, that someone decides to sacrifice themselves. So really, that rescuer just came in and killed off that someone. (Something similar is a character trying to redeem himself...and in the end sacrifice himself to save others.)

Come on, I want my rescue pay off!!!! Plus, why the freak does a computer chick get to live and not the human being? The chick didn't even get much of a development for me to even care about her wanting to see the real world and she gets to live???

I think the movie will be successful for the eye candy and music....so much eye candy haha. Love Daft Punk's music in the movie!! *just bought it*

And another rant, I seriously hate 3D. I tried watching them a few times now, and it just terrible. You're not getting to appreciate the full composition of the film. The pop effect is just a distraction or "ouu" factor. But does it really add to the film's story? Not really. And everything is blurry in some movements, even just the tilt of your head you get out of the illusion. Movie should be appreciated with the naked eye! Not thru some lens (unless its your glasses). It was also distracting with the characters not belonging in the space. They feel like some staged documentary or indie film....it just doesn't look right (same complaint with Daawn Treader). And the CG effects look more fake with the 3d. Am I the only one noticing this? There's this whole thing with digital camera....its too clean? Lack of graininess or that film quality. Ugh digital age.
