College = $1900 ;O;!!!!

My earnings over the summer will be depleted once I include the $4500 trip to Japan ;O; Which basically equals mostly everything in my savings T____________T

*CRIES*

Why do I have to pay for college --___--

Maybe I should stick around for work during winter break.... I have to limit my spending after all....

*CRIES SOME MORE*

Student loans? D8 That's what I'm using for college.

Unfortunately I don't believe in loans XD;;

I like to pay full and clear so that I don't worry about it after I graduate XD (and interest payment not worth the waste of money when I could use it for like artbooks haha..)

Oh, I see. xD I understand that mentality, but I guess it sort of limits you at the same time. I just think that at the age where you're entering into college, a very small percentage of people are financially stable enough to be able to 'pay full and clear ' in the first place, so student loans are the way to go if you're incapable like me. D8

That's true. Isn't your school tuition more expensive? A loan would be understandable if it is.

In my case...it's more affordable than paying 10k a semes. Before I started working, I had my parents pay for it. But now that I'm earning money, they won't pay for it TAT;;

Mine is...around 40K a year, and with federal grants, 20K, so. :/ It's really kind of impossible for me. I'm going to be paying off loans until I'm 60 yay~! My own fault, so I'm not complaining, since this is the school I chose.

Yeah, I guess having the job is a big step, both in mentality and independence. D8 It depends on your parents' values, I guess. My parents are weird with education. They didn't go to college themselves, so they hold it in really high regard. They're helping me pay some of that 20K, but I still want to pay them back when I'm older.

My parents only went to community colleges. But like all asian families, you have to go to college T___T We couldn't get financial aid because our income was just above average...and somehow it seem more troublesome for them to pay for a more costly institution (which is why i chose to stay locally). 40K is like what my mom makes in a year @A@;;; No way I want to burden them with that cost.

Getting a job is nice tho~~getting your feet in the industry before graduation seems more safe than not getting in after graduation XD

it okays, i'm planning to move out in a semester or so, and when that happens, i'm pretty sure i have to pay for my own tuition. and i'll barely have enough to scrape by.

ahh.. post secondary blows when it comes to tuition.

too bad students have to pay since we don't really have that much cash on us in the first place, unfortunatly it can't be helped.

I guess on the brighter side you're still living at home, which means no extra cost for living on your own.

XDDDDDDDDDDDDD;;;;;;;;;;;;

I'm glad that you're just depleted and not in debt because of that *laugh* That means you really made lots of money! Although GUH @ Japan trip costing over 2 school quarters @_@ I think UCI was about $2,400 a quarter, but I'm worried about graduate school... Luckily my parents are paying for the semesters (Super Lucky!) I won't be allowed to work while somehow paying for housing/util/gas/food. Artist Alley and whoring out please XD!

Gem- You live in the US right? Fill out FAFSA--
I've ben paying for college and I have finally filled out FAFSA this year and it gave me a free ride this passing semester and well, hopefully they'll give me a free ride too at the new school I'm starting January.

Fill out FAFSA- it will do you wonders.

Filling out Fafsa never gave me hope T__T I filled it out in the past years and have been rejected over and over and over. My older sister filled it out in the past and got rejected. My younger sister just filled one out recently and got rejected. Nope~~ government is not there to help >_>;;

Our income is just above average. So we can't get financial aid and yet my family income isn't that stable to support 3 people going to college XD;;

mmm, well also that 'cause you are all technically "dependents" of them, meaning well, no money for you. if you were all "independent" in taxes and such, you'd get something for fafsa.

sadly, i'm in the reject pile of fafsa too, but my dad won't pay for more than 2 more years, if i stay at home. so no idea about once i leave.
