Since I did it last year for NaNoWriMo but for artist, I started updating my online comic: Notebook Kiss a page a day and fanfic. The last time I updated my ouran fanfic was 5 years ago!!! OMG time has passed. But I also have not really leisurely read a book for a LOOOOOOONG time, so I already forgot how to write story orz;;;

I kinda envy my past self, since I was able to do what I enjoyed the most: storytelling. Now, I waste time just drawing fanarts or trying to improve my painting skills without really adding a narrative. Also I was able to draw comic stuff during high school and college years when I was also busy with homework. Now I'm already out of school and working, but can barely do any comic (unless its work related) for fun. Where did I go wrong?

Ahh hopefully this month will bring my groove back into just doing more storytelling. Even tho I'm working on a fandom I really don't care about now...I want to at least give it a conclusion. I also wish I could print my stuff haha, but no one really buys my work or this small fandom haha.

If you ever do release a 3rd volume for Ouran, i'll definitely have to buy it XD

Its weird being in the post school world. Even if I dont have to worry about going home and doing homework/study-I feel like I have less time to do things like play video games and read manga and watch anime. It's actually ironic >.> somehow that I have even less free time than before. So i guess i'm in a similiar boat with you where you have little to no time to really work on what you enjoy once you get home

It is weird indeed. Plus I've been actually working and going to school at the same time, yet still accomplished so much. Now with just work, I don't seem to do much but watch anime haha.

@_@ You keep up with so much anime. Do you still marathon things when you're drawing at work?

No, I don't do that anymore, after getting in trouble that one time....Now I listen to podcast while working XD Also I kinda appreciate watching anime with my full attention now.

D: Oh no. I didn't know you get in trouble for that.

I am a season behind you in anime. My current watching/favorites right now are Hyouka, Kuroko no Basuke and Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. It's fun going backwards through your tumblr and now recognizing/understanding your speed paint commentary.

Oh man, I'm really happy to see you're updating that again (KyouKao is still my Ouran OTP! though it's hard to stay enthusiastic about something if there's no activity for the fandom...). But even more importantly than that--

I admire that you're getting back into sequential storytelling again! That's something I've always wanted to do, but for some reason or another, never ended up doing successfully or following through with. Even just going back and finishing something you started years ago, that takes commitment, and that's admirable. And the older I get, the more I remember a quote of advice I was once given "It's all about story!". Whether writing or comics or so forth... I always kinda beat myself up every time I end up just doing more figure studies or make some rough portraity illustrations or so forth, since the longer I keep doing that, the more that stuff feels redundant, almost like a waste of time (even though I know none of it is truly a "waste"-- I suppose it's more like, time could have been better well spent, I guess?)

Ah, sorry for rambling! I just wanted to say I totally share your sentiment when it comes to wanting to do more storytelling. And keep up the great work~!

Ah thank you! I think I've always had inkling to get back to storytelling because I always rough out comic pages in the corner of my sketchbooks etc. But so lazy to actually draw them out. (even now i'm kinda lazy, just uploading stuff i've done in past years haha)

You always drew these interesting world and characters, but I have no idea what it was about haha. I hope you get to share more about your characters through some sorta stories~ XD

I totally get what you mean by the illustration stuff! I keep going back to studies because I can't think of what to draw anymore...I know i have so much to improve, but i'm less motivated orz;;

Rambling is good! XD

Yeah, I always did think you were into storytelling too (I don't know very many who both drew and drew comics, not to mention draw comics and write fic too!)

Haha I've always imagined that my worlds and characters would be interesting only to me so I never really worked on externalizing them... which is pretty dumb, I know. Thanks for calling them interesting! I'll try to make them more coherent! :'D

And, I know that feel bro, I know that feel. OTL
