Grr.... prop 8 angers me
Nov. 5th, 2008 01:08 pmThe narrow-mindness of the rest of California has greatly anger and upset me once again.
I'm ashamed to be a Californian....but not as a Bay Arean. Apparently the rest of California (gawd knows they actually existed) are not ready...because they are clearly blind to know exactly what they just did. A blatant discriminatory law that takes the rights of an individual to pursue happiness. The freakin prop 8 is a clear violation of the Constitution. And only based on a freakin belief and definition in some ancient book (when people were in desperate times of war and conquering). Belief =/= Law. Have we learn nothing from the civil right movement? Why should an individual be banned from marrying someone they love, based on their sexual preference?
I'm hoping we battle this out....or lift that ban once more.
