Random Rant: Boobs

One day I was looking Hyung Tae Kim's artwork for reference. My mom looked over my shoulder and pointed how the girl's boobs were like lemon and seems to take a life of its own. Haha..

Another day I was skimming through Tenjo Tenge manga on my computer. My mom noted how ridiculously big they were...bigger than their head. (Me = embarrassed) I pointed out it was done by a guy obviously...

After I got hired at work...I showed my mom Saka's artwork because I was going to assist him in coloring and wanted to show how talented he was. And then she said:

"See, you have to draw girls with big boobs so guys would buy your art."

What is up with how these artists emphasizing the boobs in their art?!! I feel kinda disgusted with these portrayal of female..esp how they're all over DA now..It's so freakin annoying..

But then again, a lot of my favorite artists draws freakin boobs TOT;;; Damn them and their good anatomy skills and ability to draw characters in attractive style.

*LAUGHS* sometimes I get quite irritated too when they draw gigantic boobs as well. Ah well, male (and maybe female?) fanservice trend, what can we say XD;? They like excessive curves.

Haha...I can understand why they like curves....because curves are fun :D But I guess they like more curves >_>;;;

WAH I love boobs! But I think it's really because I can't draw them well... and I am flat chested XD;; It must be envy! I don't like the new HTK style boobs/thighs though. Nor Tenjou Tenge... Nor the new Sophitia (SC4) art @_@ Oh mannn~ Or Selma Hayek now that she's pregnant. Big boobs really scare me XD I'm going to have to rethink my fondness for them.

I really don't get what goes in guys head >_>;; I remember in Oh!Great's interview....the interviewer thought Oh!Great drew them as a symbol of maternity. But he said, no, it was just fun or something.. haha.

Haha, yeah XD;;; I love Meer Yoko, even flat-chested, boobs, but when I think about them looking like huge lemons... or the individual suspension in Dead or Alive Extreme Volleyball 2.... I sort of freak out XD

LMAO, I would rather him just draw them for fun than a symbol of maternity... those people probably smoke a lot of pot or something XD;

man, I have to agree with your mom about Hyung Tae Kim's artwork.... they really do seem like they have a life of their own. Which is one of the many reasons why I'm annoyed with his works.

Hehe yes....I get annoyed how he draws girls. That cover he did on Korean Illustration of that girl, looked like her boobs were almost detached from her body XD;;

But his colors and rendering are so darn envious X3;; (he can draw hawt girly-guys too....lol)

I guess it's a thing in artists to either mimic attributes they find attractive in the figure or or to imitate their own physical appearance.

Like....it's really hard for me to draw a skinny character, I have to make a lot of effort to do so and make them look ok.
The big boob thing I've gotten so used to....cuz girls out there draw some guys wid massive packages X3 it's a matter of fanservice on whichever side.

All the effort of drawing attractive girls really do help boob artists draw adorable or even beautiful men/boys hehe....

lol I don't know why but I luv big boobs... but in drawings tho... in real life... they're more scary to look at X___X;;;
