hard drive malfunction....

NOOOOO! All the anime stuff I downloaded in this one hard drive malfunctioned last night so now I can't even plug in the drive and use it DX Bah...has this happened to anyone else?

There was sooo much anime series I was trying to burn...and it end up not working when I was deleting some episodes that I burned into DVD. I hope Teresa has the animes I downloaded....haha... (back up source) Though I can't remember what series are in there...there was so much...

*sad*

I'm going to see if I can get it recovered by one of those service....at least it's not any of my precious cg works....taht means I gotta back those up as well D:....in another external hard drive. -_-;;

yes i've had hard drives die before.
sometimes they have last spurts of life in which you can copy everything out, so good luck!

those recovery services are really expensive, like >300$? if you find a cheap one let me know ;;;

It's happened to me before !!! I freaked out like crazy oOo

- More than once . . . and on THE SAME DRIVE!!! *stabs stupid external drive*

- - But I was able to get it to work all of the times that it said the data was corrupted etc. And without using "one of those services" I can't remember how I fixed it every time . . . but I know turning it off and on a whole bunch has made it work again XDD As well as going into the properties and checking for errors and things there. If it won't open at all on your computer (like it won't even recognize that it's on/plugged in) Then I would go ahead and try it on someone elses computer because that has worked for me before as well. And from there I could try and get it working again ^___^

= But I wouldn't try any data recovery type software unless everything else you can think of fails T3T

yes this has happened to me before :( i think its cuz i accidentally turned it off once while it was whirring inside or something TT^TT i still need to get a friend to fix it for me... yah mostly all that was on the drive that i would miss is a ton of jdrama and anime series LOL

My hard drives have seemed to stop working at times, but with my external hds, they always worked after I replugged them. It's scary though...

Haha, I download stuff all over the place. (Even when I have no idea what they're about) I probably have some. I'm trying not to download all the new series from this season though. XD;;

Aren't those recovery services expensive? :O If it's just anime, at least you can find all the stuff again somewhere else...

Ohoho, I'll send you a list then that was in the drive. There are like all these anime series that are almost or are complete. Goddamn, I hope it works again.

At least it was anime....my own cg works are not replaceable if it happened on this other drive T_T;;;
