Princess Tutu quick afterthought

Finished watching it errm, yesterday XD

I dunno what to think...right now I'm pondering if I liked the ending or not haha...

First off, the animation is so cute and pretty!!!!! It does have that Sailor Moonesque style but petite and more refine. Their eyes, esp Mythos is so alluring!! I felt it was really consistent and the ballet animation where amazing as well. The series felt high budget for a TV show.

The story was definitely unique in how they broke the fourth wall and made a story of a story. Got so wonky at the end, but it felt solid. And the characters were in their own ways likeable XD The stories the female narrator introduced were also interesting to watch. Were they from a bunch of classic fairytale?



My biggest beef however is the ending.... something didn't felt right. I really liked how the first season ended with the Prince and Princess Tutu dancing. It had a nice payoff. But for the second season...I was iffy. Rue, especially, I didn't felt she deserved that ending. Honestly all the bad things she's done to the Prince as a result of her jealousy and she still ends up with him because she loved him since she was a child? (it almost felt pedo as well with those flashbacks). I sorta wish she ended with Autor, the bookworm haha..... Also there didn't felt like there was that development of moving on.... She was with Mytho from the beginning and ended up with him in the end despite what Ahiru went thru because of her. Maybe I was also looking for that payoff from the first season. (Maybe also cuz I was secretly hoping Mytho/Tutu even tho I like Fakir/Ahiru as well haha...)

Also Mytho went thru huge changes I had to laugh haha. He went from super naiive!uke to super evil!seme hahaha... Kind of amusing seeing changes happening to him literally.
