Researching photos in Downtown San Jose and came across this site: http://www.bvnasj.org/
As a San Jose native, I feel attached to the city I grew up in.
This site has some amazing photos of Downtown San Jose in its early 1900s to its 1970s with side to side comparison of modern years.

The old architecture that still remains in downtown always gives me the feel fuzzy inside. It was enjoyable to be surrounded by the sophistication of the design when I walk around downtown. Before there were a lot of Victorian styled buildings but were replaced by butt ugly plain homes and buildings in the 1970s. Yuck.
How come SJSU don't get those awesome hallways anymore? D: Before | Now
I kinda want to transport back in time and see how life was then XD;; And being surrounded by old buildings :D (That's what I love about New York and San Francisco ---I just hate how crowded it is over there and the homeless bums scare me.)

Date: 2009-02-11 08:42 am (UTC)Yeah, going to Europe was a trip. So much history to those old buildings. Especially interesting to see old buildings with worn exteriors and stuff with modern high tech stuff molded into it.
Also, hawt icon!
