ORZ BFA....damn you

It looks like I WILL have to go for applying the BFA. The other BA degree in Pictorial art or Design something requires some classes I don't really want to bother taking since I was concentrating on classes related to Animation/illustration -_-;;; Shit...

Portfolio is due on the 17th... I don't think I'll apply this semester. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO TIME!!! Maybe next semes. I'm lacking in life drawing stuff and outside sketches (beside that one thing I did in winter).I can do some sketches while I'm in Kyoto for my portfolio. vejiicakes, you're applying next semester, yea? Suffer with me :D

ARGH and I was SO HOPING I don't have to stay in school for three more years......

*gotta go home and work on pencil rendering which i have not touch*

EDIT: BAH peer pressure convinced me to at least try applying this semester T___T

GUH... you writing about this reminded me of how badly I want to go back to school. I had to drop out cause of medical reasons and... I feel like failurish drop out. The 17th IS kinda coming up. If you think you can do it try but... your best work should be done when you have time to do it. You can use old pieces as well. If anything, a BFA can get you almost ANY job where a BA... is limited. I say go for it if you can afford it and you can never learn enough you know? What school are you going to? 4 year art university? Good luck ^^~

I haven't took his class in a while...I wonder if I can.... I don't even half much good life drawing, but another classmate told me to put projects and sketches that show "I can draw".

I'm going to check out what I have right now to see if I'm ready ^^;; If we do it next semester, we'll have to motivate each other to pump up some art xD

I'm glad that you're gonna try this semester though! You've got nothing to lose (weeell, maybe some stress and lost time DX). But if you get it, it'll be that much faster towards your degree right?

Going for a BFA in animation/illustration or graphic design in SJSU require a portfolio review which is pretty tough to get in. So that might require a semester or two to even get in. There's a BA for Fine Arts, Studio, and Design...but that requires you to take those misc painting/sculpting class which I find useless for where I want to focus on. The BFA however is INTENSE!! So I think a lot of students take only 1-2 classes per semester....and there's like 7 required courses you can take once you can get into the program. I guess someone can complete it in less than 3 years...but for me, I don't want to overwork myself and I have a basic animation class I have yet to take :O PLUS I'm working T__T

Holy crap :O I didn't realize that the BFA (ver. a BA) is that much more work. Though I guess that would be the difference between the two degrees...? How extensive does your portfolio have to be? I don't have a lot of experience with review portfolios, but if you have most of the work done already, it shouldn't be as bad...(?) Cuz dammit, your stuff is NICE!

Hmm so if it's 7 required classes after you get into the program, that's an average of 2 classes per semester to make it in 3 years. I guess it'd depend on how many hours you work too. You can always take 2 in the first semester, and if the workload isn't too bad, or if it's hell, you can always add or drop a class :3

I think I'm going up at the end of August sometime xD I was hoping to stop in North Cali before moving in, but...ionno. We'll see what the parental figures have to say about that lol. It'd be really great to see you before school starts though! It's been like...3, 4 years since you came to Hawaii?

It doesn't have to be a lot. Just works from past classes, some life drawings, and out-of-class sketches. Tho I admit I did not do much for current works haha... err...I'll give it a try! (I was determined to turn in the portfolio form today after much hesitation but the office was closed haha...). Have to turn the form tomorrow....

Looking at your portfolio makes me want to try harder! (but damn it's too late for that with the portfolio ORZ)

There's always Fanime and such for a reason to visit up here XD Maybe even go to AX? (but the fee is ridiculous right now)

I think 3 years ago *w* I went on 2005. I wanted to go Hawaii again this summer...but let see if I have any more money from Kyoto haha...
