Going to Japan tips?

gem2nikiSo....for those who went to Japan (which seems like a lot of you guys), about how much were the expenses, from airfare to hotel and spending money there? And any tips?

lucathia got a free ticket for herself from raffle..but she has no one else to go with, so yea I was thinking of accompanying her (but of course I'm not rich and need to make some money by fall semester).
Any advice would be nice :3
