Tips I got from
pompi on twitter.

pompi: If it's not too swollen, I try to cut the part that's poking the flesh, then ice for a few hours, and then switch to warm compress. If it's infected and there's an open wound, and you're willing to take the pain and squeeze pus out, I would do that. But be sure to have iodine or alcohol handy to sanitize the wound because you don't want it to get infected again.
What I did while sanitizing my toe:
I tweeted afterward: manage to squeeze some pus out of my toe....not sure where it is tho...deep insideee....afraid to peel my toenail further.
The pain went away afterward.
Right now tho, I cut my toenail too short so its harder to cut and peel (which I learned I'm cutting my nail the wrong way, apparently its not supposed to be curved but straight and sticking out). I'm gonna try this Tiger Balm method first as I grow out my toe nail long enough to cut and peel (if the pain doesn't go away by then). Ughhh such a pain. Hope this works.
