XD I watched Sailor Moon in middle school, and I think Dragon Ball started in high school? I might have watched Escaflowne first, it was one of the first things we watched in high school anime club. I think the very first thing was Ranma. Ah, those VHS days....
o.O;;; Wow... so Ao is an AU? Like the difference between Mai Hime and Mai Otome? (I watched two eps of Mai Otome and hated it SO MUCH... but I loved Mai Hime.) :/ It doesn't sound appealing....
My favorite episode was the one where pretty much nothing happens, and Renton's just at this weird place with this weird guy (whose wife is affected by that illness) who knocks down those windmill things with some weird motion, and teaches Renton that everything he's been taught to think is backwards, and everything is surreal and sort of misty. Charles and Ray then showed up and they made the story so much more interesting than in the beginning, but their ending made me sad and then I stopped liking it so much. But I did like the end with Dominic and Anemone, one of my favorite scenes is when they appear together to help fix things and even Anemone is all serious.
XD; Long anime is often more rewarding, but it's awfully nice to just see them get to the point - give us characters we can love and a good story.
