Back from AX!! \*O*/ +ouran 62

Con season is finally over for me! *wipes sweat from heat*

I returned home from LA to San Jose at 2:30am T__T;; The driver entered the wrong exit at Los Banos instead of Gilroy and had to drive back in this deserted city....he gets lost easily --esp from downtown LA to the house we were staying after staying in LA for 3 days already!!!

AX for me was pretty "meh". I finally sold out all the 2007 prints at least. Yay. I still have plenty of 2008 which I'll sell online. A bunch of people came up to my table and I got to chat with them. Even people from gaia came to tell me their appreciation of Inari's Bead and I even got handsewn plushies from them XD! (Thanks for the Tama plush kkarth Argh, I'm bad with names so I don't remember everyone who I talked too ORZ;;; Also I finally met _nayuki, krysyuy and joobley in person!

I didn't get to cosplay this year TwT;; I was too busy and we woke up late and had to rush to con to set up table fore artist alley open. Maybe next year I can cosplay an original character...

I went to Shokotan's concert with lucathia without having to wait in big ass lines anymore <3 She's so cute XD I couldn't go to the Ouran panel because there wasn't anyone to watch my table...buu. But I went to Gaia Panel and saw the onomnomnom hat I designed IRL *w* But most of the time I spent in artist alley and dealer room.

Ouran 62

I have to say, I love the people that came up to me and complained about ch. 62 or "I can't stand tamaharu"!. I LOVE YOU GUYS!! And surprisingly, some were guys who were ranting haha... (I still can't really see guys reading shoujo...) It's a relief to know I'm not alone in this thinking.

stjet, I give you my final Ouran rant for now.


This year for AX, we stayed at kinohiroshino's aunt's place. We slept in the living room with a people of 11 (mostly older sis's friends) @A@;; One night tho, was particularly memorable. My older sis's friend (whom I known for quite awhile) and her sister surprised me with their similar reaction to freakin chapter 62 of evil SOB Ouran manga...


I need better mascot version of jen haha...

Seriously, is that all we get????!!! DAMNYOUHATORI After all the angst for so many chapters of Hikaru realizing his feelings, the whole thing with Kaoru in love with Haruhi, and Hikaru growing up, Hikaru gets an immediate rejection at last!!!!!!! Okay, maybe Haruhi had to think about it...but it wasn't even much shown of her thinking about it. Only a couple of panels until the party and then he gets the ultimate rejection. What a let down!! All the buildup was wasted and dragged out too long if Hikaru's going to get rejected that fast. And Haruhi had to make that stupid blushing face when Hikaru ask her if she loved Tono.... ARGH HARUHI!!!KILLSSHOUJOHARUHI Can I kill Hatori now??

And Hikaru saying he won't give up... Even if that were the case, I really doubt anything will happen T___T Poor Hikaru.... Seriously, Hatori shouldn't build these things up if there's nothing that going to happen....we're left with rejected twins T__T;; I seriously miss the non-romantic part of the series where its not about who-will-get-with-who. But building friendship. Let fandom decide the pairing on their own accord. Even tho its shoujo, not all shoujo series have to do that... (I'm crossing my finger La Corda doesn't go to that route...)

I hate the manga with passion right now T___T In my previous post of saying I'm not following the series, its not that I'm done with the fandom haha... I love Ouran characters (before all the romantic crap occured). But I'm going to try my best and avoid reading the manga chapters until neko11lover or stjet gives me the okay, okay? XD;;;

And I really really love HikaHaru....so I can't let that go easily. Just of course, the possibility was impossible canon wise. There are art challenges that I still need to work on and there is also Notebook Kiss I want to continue... That said, I still want to work on doujin and fanfic (like Digimon doujin...)

This young artist's, who likes HikaHaru, passion makes me want to just draw what I love.

I won't let canon get to me..... *clenches fist* So now, I'll remain oblivious to the manga for now.....


Woo, got that off my chest. Now I'm no longer on "vacations" I need to do work stuff and essays for the Kyoto trip.

I agree. After putting Hikaru and Kaoru through ALL that. While Tamaki was busy studying his butt off for whatever business he's going to take over. While Haruhi was busy finding out that she loved Tamaki. THIS IS WHAT IT ALL ENDS UP TO.

You're right about not having Haruhi's thinking process be shown. What happened during that span of time? All that we got was Mei saying something about acceptance through pity being ruder and then we got ourselves a dumped Hikaru. (Okay, maybe she probably DID think a lot about it but somehow I'm not very convinced)

Yes, yes, poor Hikaru. I mean, I won't feel as strong for this pairing if Kaoru wasn't involved. He sacrificed a lot.... and I can't believe that it was all for waste. Both of them. So sad. ;_;

The okay will come as soon as the crap's done. Or if it will ever be.

Yeah, another appeal that Ouran used to have was that it was able to appeal to both girls and guys (gee I wonder why /sarcasm])

Definitely I liked Ouran alot more when it wasn't about romance or who Haruhi would end up with or just TamaHaru moments (or other pairings for that matter) sqee!!! (bah), but about the characters and relationships in their own right, growth of friendship, among other things

For me, there were so many other themes and issues that Ouran touched upon, and it saddened me to think that it seems to be all but forgotten, that Ouran will simply be remembered as a love story and .. well, not much more.

Of course, whenever I try to say this, the most common response is "But it's a ROMANTIC COMEDY!!!11eleventy)

Seriously, if I had a nickel/dollar for every time someone said that, I would be set for life

I really do feel for the twins, cause I really feel that they are getting the short end of the stick.. whilst Tamaki is getting his trauma pity party.

Are we supposed to forget what Kaoru went through? I refuse to believe that his feelings just disappeared.. they must still be there someone.. and Hikaru... he doesn't even get the dignity to move on, and yet is rejected all the same *slams desk*
