Buying scanner...

I'm looking into buying a new scanner.. Does anyone have a good recommendation?

I'm looking at this right now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16838111014

It seems pretty good. Less bulky compared to the epson series.

I've upgraded most of my computer equipment :3 Next would be my tablet...huhu. It's nice to earn money X3

ive got a canon lide60 and im not that happy with it; i think it's because a lot of my artwork is pretty delicate and it has a hard time picking it up which is why im frustrated with it :\ i bought it bc its so size efficient and it was on sale at yodobashi camera the day i went and was like 'why dont i buy a scanner today :DDDD' XD;;
im also looking for a new scanner, but i also want one that can scan up to tabloid size bc i prefer to work big and scanning in parts is so annoying... but i think the big ones are pretty pricey T^T

Yea...i don't think i'll be scanning big size artwork for awhile =/ I'll wait when i get my own studio and buy all the pretty printers that print posters and huge scanners and stuff XD

I also use canon LiDE60, and I'm quite happy with it XDD. I mainly use it for just sketches though, and it's easy to make it darker on Photoshop. Otherwise I use it for inked pages (manga), and it works pretty well.

Awww. I think that's the one my school's computer graphics department uses. That one and the other one is an EPSON something, something. xp

I probably should get a new scanner as well. I opted to get the 3 in one, scanner, printer, copier a couple of years back to save space.
Bad idea. The scanner is literally crap.
No wait.
Crappier than crap.

Anyway, I say sneak into your computer graphics design computer lab or department and see what they're using. ;D

we were about to buy that for the print shop, but then read reviews on it and said it made loud screechy noises, that doesn't sound very fun. :/ and i also read a lot of reviews that say it doesn't do too well in scanning, so we ended up not getting it.

sorry, probably useless information.

What scanner did you guys end up getting?

the one review said the noise reduction has been improved. I know it's anything better than my current scanner XD

lol, we ended up getting a 4-in-1 copier, scanner, printer, fax machine thing. it's a hp one and it does decent, but i think the ink usage would be crappy. but we mostly use it to scan work orders in b/w, so not too much feedback on that.

Hmm, I have a really cheap Canon one. I like it because it's thin and doesn't take up much space. I only really use scanners to put in rough sketches so I can blow it up to 23948039 dpi and CG it XD;; If I have something too large for the scanner, I just use digicam /lazy XD
