Scanning Lineart....

I did like 10 test prints with photoshop and manga studio to get try to get a smooth lineart...and all the lines are noticeably pixelated/jagged. Any tips to avoid this?

Finished inking!!! Now for scanning, toning + adding additional pages and cover T_T;;;;

EDIT: Okay....I found out how to get smooth lineart.. with threshold and then converting to bitmap....but then once I transfer it to manga studio or add some tone, it gets pixelated again..... wth. T_T;;;

lol @ chup's venture bros icon

nancy, you're not raising my expectations of manga studio as a program XD aren't there ways to confirm the resolution it's working in and printing at?

I have faith that you will :) you're amazing ♥ and even if you didn't, i'd follow you to the ends of the earth so that i'd be able to buy it at the next convention >_>
my icon is from 'the venture brothers' . it's sorta like a crude parody of johnny quest, it's on... i think sunday on adult swim, cartoon network. it's so funny haha <3

how bout scanning into illustrator and then printing? your pixelated lines sounds like raster vs vector issues. i'd mess around with some illustrator to get better printouts.

just thought this too -- is it getting jaggy in the display, or also the print? some programs render the same images differently on screen ;;;;

is your resolution 300+ ?
i know on my printer, if it is less, its noticeably fuzzy/pixeled, but once i change the res it's perfectly fine.
hope that helps !

also, if you shrink images, make sure you use the bi cubic sharpen, and if you make it larger, bi cubic smoother.
