Did anyone ever had a superstition that you didn't really believe actually come true?

I have to write one in japanese...but nothing comes to mind...

i have no idea...i wonder if it can be something that happened to someone else. like my sister's karma.

i hope it doesn't have to be a superstition that happened to us, because my life has been full of disproving superstitions.
