Ah that makes more sense. But in a tv show, it doesn't work to literally have a "silent protagonist" as we need empathize with her at least. I haven't read the manga, but I'll check that out. It also didn't help that in the beginning I felt like I was watching a gameplay instead of a story. I almost feel they should at least take liberty of making it more natural. Tho I agree that the way they're going thru each route is pretty clever.
Thanks for the insight! I was thinking from an American perspective...that I felt it was too exaggerated. I know there are instances where violence are happening amongst a crowd, but usually one or two people step in to try and stop it. Here they weren't even blinking an eye, which was quite disturbing. But seeing it from a Japanese POV it might make more sense...
