I don't know why Hatori went down that road. It kinda killed her originality with Haruhi's ever loveable personality.

1. She just wanted too (bah) 2. She knew that it would sell better (>.<)

oh man, I just consider my self lucky that I didn't get sucked into the shipping wars then until .. the 6th book.. I was disappointed.. but at the very least I didn't feel like I wasted so many years invested into something that wasn't really there.
But out of curiosity, did you support any ships there or were only witness to the wars that went about?
